There are a number of different types of information you can view and be alerted to about the item depending on the type of item and the type of tracker devices used, including:
- Fuel Level Indicator
- Fault Detection
- Geofence Perimeter Breach
- Location History
- Movement sensors
A Geofence can be set around a location (e.g. this caravan should not move more than 10m from this location for when it is in storage) and you can be alerted via the system and SMS text message should an item move outside of this fence.
Once an item moves outside of the Geofence, its movements can also be tracked and its resting place located.
Implementing location and tracking devices from LocateMyThings can improve your status with insurance companies, some of which will not insure an item without a tracking device.
